Back in 2007, an Austrian by the name of Phil Strahl became interested in the case of the Zodiac. Having experience in the area of font construction, he applied his skills to the subject by crafting a set of fonts that mimic the Zodiac’s handwriting. In particular, he created: Zipher – a font that recreates the symbols from the 340 cipher, Zanity – the meticulous hand-printing style of the Zodiac, and Zodiac – the killer’s manic handwriting.
I’ve used the Zanity font to create a new header for this site. If you’re so inclined, I encourage you to check it out.
Hi, I think this is interesting. How can I look at the font and try to download it?
Hi Jesse,
Your comment slipped through the cracks. Sorry about that. Each of the pages linked above has a big button at the bottom for downloading the font.
The installation process depends on your operating system and its version. Usually it involves copying the font files to the proper location. Just search the net for “install font” along with your operating system and its version. You should be able to find some step-by-step instructions easily.
The font is no longer available I think, can I still download it elsewhere?
I made a copy of the fonts here a while back:

Scroll down there for the TTF and OTF attachments.
Hey Mike. How did you get the exact color blue for the font?
Just a thought for those of you wanting to get the fonts from the website: You’ll have to use the Wayback Machine (aka Internet Archive. It’s available at archive.org) The website is no longer active for the fonts.
I’ll do you one better, by giving you the links to the fonts as of this post. Here’s the link for Zipher: https://web.archive.org/web/20151007001318/http://blog.philstrahl.com:80/2007/08/31/zodiac-killer-font-part-1/

I hope this helps you out.
Sincerely,
Michael
