I ran across this on twitter this morning. The American Genre Film Archive, otherwise known as the AGFA, is running a kickstarter campaign to raise the $30,000 needed to purchase a 4K scanner, which is going to be used to preserve the Something Weird collection of films. The first film targeted for preservation is the 1971 movie The Zodiac Killer.
